Frequently Asked Questions

I see the word “Devotion,” is this religious-based or tied in any way to a church or doctrine?

The short answer? Absolutely not.

However, Men of Devotion as an organization and community encourages men to find a relationship with something greater than themselves. It is encouraged, but never required. Most importantly, what this looks like for each man is up to him. Everything we offer—resources, guidance, support—is simply that: an offer. It is up to each man to decide what he brings into his life and how.

You are welcome regardless of your belief system. While God will often be mentioned, it is not through a religious lens.

Why does it have to start at 5:30am?!

Because that’s what devotion requires—and for some simple logistical reasons. Men of Devotion is built on creating a solid foundation for daily life, and in our experience this requires getting up early and on time. Most of us have jobs, kids, and many other responsibilities.

Critically, we have found that if you commit to showing up for yourself and your healthy habits at any other point in the day outside of first thing, there’s a high likelihood that you’ll never get to them (“insider tip”). So ensuring our group calls are at a time when there is no excuse other than “I’m not willing to make the commitment” is essential for mission success.

Men of Devotion is not for everyone—far from it. A 5:30am commitment ensures that we are a community of men who are deeply committed and willing to do what it takes to show up for ourselves and for one another.

How will daily accountability partners be assigned?

This will largely be done randomly; however, one factor that will be considered is location. We want to support in-person connections if possible, so matching men who live in close proximity supports that possibility.

It is important to note that we do not ask men to meet up in person. That decision is entirely each man’s to make. In our experience, incredible relationships form simply through supporting one another on a daily basis. We encourage men to explore these relationships to whatever degree they feel comfortable and safe.

We also operate on a zero-tolerance basis for any harmful behavior. Each man signs off on our community agreements before beginning.

“We” terminology is used a lot, but I only see Loghan Call mentioned as being a part of Men of Devotion… what gives?

Currently, Loghan is the only facilitator and guide within Men of Devotion. He is the founder and presently runs all elements of the organization. However, we use “we” terminology because the vision is for Men of Devotion to grow into a larger community built on the pillars and values outlined here. Additional facilitators and support staff will be joining soon to help nurture that growth.

Most importantly, we want this community to grow organically. We encourage men to take an active role in shaping and supporting what we are building. Much of the value of Men of Devotion is built on peer-to-peer support. While leadership is critical, the ability to create the future we imagine—a thriving community of men dedicated to mentorship and giving back—requires participation from everyone.

Is any of this based in licensed practices or backed by institutions?

No. Men of Devotion is built on many different philosophies, healing and transformational practices—both traditional and alternative—as well as inspiration from organizations and approaches that are widely available.

Influences include: Family Constellation Work, Shadow Work, AA, Meditation & Breathwork practices, Inner Child Work, Jungian Philosophy, Sacred Sons, Mankind Project, and many more.

Men of Devotion was created by observing the current landscape of offerings geared toward men in both alternative and traditional healing spaces, and realizing that a more grounded, daily offering was critically needed. This realization also came from listening to thousands of men and their partners.

Men of Devotion is a unique community built on creating a supported space for peer-to-peer connection, healing, and transformation. Attempting to compare it to something else will be futile!

Why is the Fellowship so cheap?

This was one of the central goals of Men of Devotion: to create a core offering that is affordable to nearly any man willing to step into the courage it takes to walk the narrow path and embark on a hero’s journey.

We understand the constraints of life today. Everything is going up in price, especially offerings in the healing and alternative spaces.

While we don’t know what the future holds—and it’s possible we won’t always be able to keep our prices this low—one of our guiding principles is to ensure that we are not here to simply make as much money as possible.
